"Delivery"

Ok for all of you who want details. Here goes... I will say I am getting way to old to stay up all night. Jenn was scheduled for induction at 10pm Monday night. After arriving at the hospital they were told to wait in the waiting room because the hospital very busy. Finally they got in a room around 11pm. She was started on pitocin and after about 30min to and hour Boston was not liking what was going on so he thought he would make sure everyone was on there toes. He had a d-cell which means his heart rate went way down and even off the monitor. So things got kind of K otic for a few minutes. Jenn was started on oxygen and the pitocin was stopped so Boston could recover from his set back. Around 3am they started the pitocin back up. Boston did fine this time. Jenn was doing great until around 7am then the pains got very intense. She got her epidural around 7:30am. Thirty minutes of intense pain was enough. She then felt great. Around noon we went (as in me and family and friends) downstairs for lunch. Then we let her rest. I checked on her around 2pm and she said the nurse had just checked her about 15min before and said she was at 4-5 cm and it would probaly be 4-5 more hours before she was completely dilated. But when I asked how she felt she said she was having alot of pressure. I said then they need to check you. She said well I was told it was just because he was moving down the birth canal. She then got this look on her face and said mom something is happening I feel so much pressure. I said let me get the nurse. She wanted me to wait a minute then she changed her mind real soon. I then went out and told the nurse she was having severe pressure and the nurse said that was normal. I said I don't think you understand the pressure is very intense and I think she should be checked. The nurse said ok, and went to check on her. She then checked her and sure enough she was competely dilated. Those nurses think since it is a first baby that things will not happen that quick. They then got her ready to push and wanted her to do some practice pushing to see how well she could push. She did great the Dr. then arrived in her room and she pushed for 45min and Mr. Boston arrived in the world at 3:24pm. A picture of perfect health. Jenn and Keith were so excited to become parents. I heard Jenn at the door say I did it I am a mom now. That just brought tears to my eyes. I can't tell you how special it is to have your little girl to become a mommy. They are all doing great.
